Box Score ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- The wins just keep pouring in for the UMSL volleyball program.
The Tritons authored a sweep of visiting Rockhurst Friday evening at their home opener as they pushed their season record to 8-3, while the Hawks drop to 7-5.
The Hawks hit Chuck Smith Court riding a three-game winning streak.
Obviously, the Tritons never received the memo, as they matched the opposition point for point, even clawing back from deficits to complete the sweep, 25-20, 26-24, 25-20.
Charlotte Richards led the charge with her 14-attack performance -- a common theme so far in 2021. The senior added 19 points and two digs.
Mya Elliott added 7 attacks and nine points and
Karlyn Hannewald tallied six digs.
Olivia Klank finished with seven points.
On the assist front,
Kaileen Herman totaled 34.
Megan Woll beefed up her collegiate resume with 21 digs. Herman added 16 and Alexa Rang tallied 12.
Richards added two aces, as did
Kylie Adams and Rang.
The Tritons are back at it Saturday at 3 p.m. when they host William Jewell.
