ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- It's Jan. 3, 2022, and back to reality for us all.

A loaded week in UMSL basketball took a New Year jab to the schedule as the women's home game against Maryville on Tuesday has been canceled due to COVID protocols inside the Saints' program.

The men, though, are in action Tuesday against the cross-town rival Saints. As of now, tip is 7:30 p.m.

Both the men's and women's schedules have ben hit hard by holiday cancellations, but history deems the intestinal fortitude will not miss a beat.

Thursday evening the Hawks from Rockhurst visit as the GLVC schedule rolls along.

On Saturday, the home stand concludes with a double dose of action as the teams host Missouri S & T.

Note: There weren't any games last week on which to report, as both teams were out of action, and the swim teams are in between meets.
