EAST PEORIA, ILL. - The fifth-seeded University of Missouri-St. Louis softball team lost a 1-0 decision to No. 4 seed Lindenwood Saturday morning in quarterfinal round action of the GLVC Tournament. The tournament was moved to a single elimination format after rain washed out the first two days of play.
The Lions plated the game's lone run in the second inning on an RBI double.
UMSL recorded three hits, including a double from freshman
Courtney Settles, while graduate student
Megan Brown picked up two walks.
The Tritons finish the season 28-22 record, while Lindenwood advances to Sunday's semifinals and improves to 35-10.
