Men’s And Women’s Swimming Teams Earn Scholar All-America Honors

RICHMOND, Va. – The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) has selected the University of Missouri-St. Louis men's and women's swimming and diving teams for Scholar All-America honors.

UMSL was one of 441 schools to receive the award for the spring semester. Teams were selected based on their spring grade point averages and represent 17,845 student-athletes.

The Tritons were one of 52 NCAA Division II schools that had both their men's and women's teams recognized and one of nine schools from the Great Lakes Valley Conference that had teams honored. The other GLVC schools with both their men's and women's teams honored were Drury, Indianapolis, Lewis, Lindenwood, Maryville, McKendree, Truman State and William Jewell. Additionally, Missouri S&T was recognized on the men's side.

During the recently completed 2022 spring semester, the Triton men compiled a 3.23 cumulative GPA, while the Triton women posted a 3.46 GPA.

UMSL's men's and women's swimming and diving teams were also recognized as CSCAA Scholar All-America Teams during the 2021 fall semester.

Roberts Wesleyan (3.66) and Fairmont State (3.84) topped all Division II men's and women's teams respectively. The highest team GPA's came from Division III programs as the Caltech men and the Pacific Lutheran women are the top overall programs with GPA's of 3.85 each.

Founded in 1922, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), is the nation's first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy, and professional development.
