INDIANAPOLIS – The No. 25 University of Missouri-St. Louis volleyball team is among the 64 schools selected for the NCAA Division II Volleyball Tournament, as announced Monday night by the NCAA.
The Tritons received their fifth straight bid and eighth overall to the Tournament and are the No. 8 seed and will take on host and top ranked Ferris State in first round action on Thursday (Dec. 5) in Big Rapids, Mich.
Other first round matches include third seeded Hillsdale taking on sixth seeded Findlay, seventh seeded Quincy will face No. 2 seed Grand Valley State and the final first round contest pits fifth seeded Rockhurst against fourth seeded Lewis.
Semifinals of the regional tournament will be held on Friday (Dec. 6), while the championship match is on Saturday (Dec. 7). The regional winner advances to the NCAA DII Championships, along with seven other regional champions. The championships take place December 12-14 at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D.
UMSL is 19-8 on the season.
