ST. LOUIS – University of Missouri-St. Louis men's swimmer
Conley Savage added another accolade on Wednesday as he was named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America second team for men's swimming. He becomes the third Triton student-athlete this school year to earn the honor joining Lexie Rang and Zara Konstapel and is the 23rd UMSL student-athlete to earn Academic All-America honors.
Savage earned First Team All-America honors with his eighth place in the 200-yard fly at last month's NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships in Geneva, Ohio. He also earned honorable mention All-America honors with his finish in the 200-yard individual medley.
Savage, a native of San Antonio, Texas, is majoring in business information systems with a 3.76 grade point average.
To be eligible for Academic All-America honors, a student-athlete must carry a 3.5 or higher cumulative grade point average, must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically and need to compete in four competitions or finish top eight at a conference meet.
