UMSL stretched its lead to as many as 23 points in the second half on a layup from Jayden Creighton and wouldn't let the Huskies get closer than 16 points the remainder of the game.

The Tritons had three players reach double figures in scoring led by Taye Moore with a career-high 27 points on 11-of-16 shooting including 3-of-6 from three while Jake Hamilton added 18 points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals and Vincent Davis III finished with 12 points and was tied with Quenton Parker for the game-high in rebounds with eight.

UMSL finished the game shooting 53 percent (28-for-53) from the field including 5-of-13 from three and shot 68 percent at the foul line. It outrebounded Michigan Tech 37-to-18 and recorded 13 steals in the win.

The Huskies were held to 42 percent (21-for-50) shooting in the contest, were 8-of-22 from three and shot 47 percent at the foul line. Marcus Tomashek led Tech with 15 points.
