LIBERTY, Mo. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis men's soccer team 2025 season ended with 4-3 loss to William Jewell at the William Jewell Soccer/Lacrosse Field on Sunday afternoon in Liberty, Mo. The Tritons finish the season with a record of 5-6-6, 4-5-5 GLVC while the Cardinals end their season with a record of 3-10-4, 2-8-4 GLVC.
UMSL opened the scoring on Sunday with a goal from
Kyler Sorber in the 24th minute for his first of the season. WJC tied the game six minutes later as Elliot Labeth scored his fifth of the season.
The Cardinals took the lead 2:15 into the second half as Henry Staebell scored his second goal of the year. Jewell extended its lead to 3-1 as Caua Ensciemento converted on a penalty kick.
The Tritons rallied getting a goal from
Roman Ryabchenko in the 57th minute and then tied the game in the 84th minute on a goal from
Alexander Ramirez Aoueiss from a shot at the top of the penalty area.
WJC scored the game-winner with 0:48 left in the contest on Ensciemento's second goal of the afternoon.
UMSL outshot the Cardinals 16-9 including 10-6 in shots on goal in the contest.
