ST. LOUIS – Four University of Missouri-St. Louis volleyball student-athletes have been named to the College Sports Communicators 2025 Academic All-District team.
Representing the Tritons are
Hannah Copeland,
Iyannah Jackson,
Alayna Santel and
Skylar Weaver. The Academic All-America teams will be announced January 13, 2026.
To be eligible for Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore in eligibility and academically with a 3.5 or better cumulative grade point average and have competed in at least 90 percent of the team's sets played or started in at least two-thirds of the team's total matches.
Copeland is an exercise science major with a 3.95 GPA. She started all 31 matches this season averaging 2.26 kills and 2.70 points per set and was second on the team with a .339 hitting percentage. Copeland had a season-high 12 kills at Uindy on Oct. 31. She was a second team All-GLVC selection this year.
Jackson is majoring in marketing and communications with a 3.6 GPA. She started all 31 matches this season and led the Tritons with a hitting percentage of .361. Her 2.99 points and 2.49 kills per set where good for third best on the team. Jackson was named the GLVC's Offensive Player of the Week and American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) National Player of the Week earlier this season. She was a first team All-GLVC selection.
Santel is an undeclared major with a 3.53 GPA. She led UMSL this season in kills (474), kills per set (4.12) and points per set (4.90) while hitting .297 with 49 service aces. Santel led the Great Lakes Valley Conference in total aces with 49 and ranked second in kills, kills per set and points per set. Santel was named the GLVC's Offensive Player of the Week and AVCA National Player of the Week after the final weekend of the regular season. She was a first team AVCA All-American and first team All-GLVC selection.
Weaver, a business major, has a 3.98 GPA. She started all 31 matches this season for the Tritons and was the GLVC's Libero of the Year and a first team all-conference honoree. Weaver was named the GLVC's Defensive Player of the Week three times this season and led the conference in digs with 613 and digs per set (5.33). She was a third team AVCA All-American.
UMSL finished its season with a record of 26-5 including 13-0 in the GLVC, won the GLVC regular season and postseason titles and hosted the Midwest Regional for the second time in three seasons.
