Tritons Split Dual Meet With Quincy On Saturday

ST. LOUIS – The University of Missouri-St. Louis men's and women's swimming teams split their dual meet against Quincy on Saturday afternoon at the BOS Aquatic Center in Quincy, Ill. The women won 180-81 while the men were edged 132-130.

The Triton women were led by Audrey Lantz who recorded two first place finishes, a third place finish and swam the leadoff leg of the winning 200 free relay squad. She was first in the 100 free at 56.21, first in the 100 back with a time of 1:01.37 and third in the 100 fly in a time of 1:04.52. She had a split of 25.82 in the first leg of the 200 free relay.

Justice Beard earned two individual event wins and along with Lantz was on the winning 200 free relay team. She won both distance freestyle events with times of 5:09.95 and 10:34.41 in the 500 and 1,000 freestyle events respectively. Beard swam the anchor leg of the 200 free with a split of 25.07.

Stella Garrison won two individual events claiming the top of the podium in the 100 breast at 1:09.58, and the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:17.43. She swam the breast portion of the winning 200 medley relay team with a split of 31.01 seconds.

Madison Bottorff won an individual event and was part of a winning relay squad. Bottorff was the winner in the 50 free at 25.82 seconds and turned in a split of 25.47 seconds in the 200 free relay. Romina Itzkovich was part of the winning 200 free and 200 medley relay teams and swam a personal best in the 200 breast with a time of 2:31.87.

For the men, Mattia Nardi won the 200 fly at 1:53.12 and swam the anchor leg on the winning 200 free relay team with a time of 21.06 seconds. Mikael Larsson finished first in the 200 back at 1:56.18 and was the runner-up in the 500 and 1,000 freestyles in times of 4:45.92 and 10:07.71 respectively.

Also climbing to the top of the podium were Kaleb Suitor, Aaron Wicklund, Lathan Parks and Landon Hanesworth. Suitor won the 100 fly in a time of 51.33 seconds, Wicklund took the top spot in the 200 breast at 2:11.23, Parks swam the leadoff leg of the winning 200 free relay team with a split of 22.07 seconds and Hanesworth won the 100 breast in a time of 59.24 seconds.

UMSL returns to the pool for its final meet of 2025 on Friday, December 19, as it travels to Rolla, Mo., for a dual with Missouri S&T and Southwest Baptist beginning at 1 p.m. at the S&T Swimming Pool.
