ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis baseball team dropped both ends of its doubleheader at Lewis 6-3 and 12-11 in 10 innings at Brennan Field on Saturday afternoon in Romeoville, Ill. The Tritons fall to 17-15, 7-9 GLVC while the Flyers improve to 19-6, 14-2 GLVC.
Game 1 – Lewis 6 UMSL 3
Lewis jumped out to the early lead on George Bilecki's two-out home run in the home half of the first. UMSL tied the game in the top of the fourth on

The Flyers regained the lead in their half of the fourth. Bilecki hit his second home run of the game to break the tie and later in the inning Cole Nelson hit a two-run single to center.
The Tritons cut the deficit to 4-2 on
Braedon Stoakes first home run of the season.
Lewis added insurance runs in the fifth and sixth innings. Chris McDevitt had an RBI single in the fifth and Will Bruno hit a solo home run in the sixth.
UMSL's final run came in the seventh on Bonczkowski's ground out to third scoring
Cooper Blythe.
The Tritons were held to five hits in the opener with Stoakes recording three of those.
Dustin Hagens took the loss giving up six runs on seven hits with five strikeouts in six innings pitched.
Game 2 – Lewis 12 UMSL 11 10 innings
The Flyers struck first in the night cap getting an RBI single from Jason Krol and a sacrifice fly from Cain Headrick to take a 2-0 lead in the first.
UMSL hit two two-run home runs in the second inning to take the lead. Bonczkowski tied the game with his fourth of the season and later in the inning Stevenson hit his second of the year to put the Tritons in front.
Lewis tied the game in the third on Headrick's two-run home run but UMSL retook the lead in the fifth on
Andrew Buescher's sacrifice fly to left scoring Blythe.
The Flyers countered with three runs in their half of the fifth on Nelson's three-run home run.
The Tritons responded with three runs in the sixth to retake the lead at 8-7. Bonczkowski hit his second home run of the contest to make it 7-6. Stoakes tied the game at seven with a single and
Barrett Rose put UMSL back in front reaching on an error by Mikey Kocen.
Lewis got a solo home run from McDevitt in the sixth to tie the game and then Headrick hit a three-run blast to put the Flyers in front 11-8.
The Tritons fought back in the eighth getting a two-run double from Stoakes and an RBI single from Buescher to tie the game at 11.
The Flyers won it in the 10th as Will Bruno singled to third base with the bases loaded to bring home Kocen with the winning run.
UMSL finished with 14 hits in game two and were led by Bonczkowski with three while Blythe, Stoakes, Stevenson and
Noah Tomaras had two hits apiece.
Cale Willson took the loss in the nightcap giving up a run on four hits with a strikeout to fall to 1-1 on the season.
The Tritons continue their nine-game road trip next weekend traveling to Springfield, Mo., to take on Drury in a four-game series starting on Friday at Mark Worley at Meador Park at 5 p.m.
