21st Ranked Tritons Win Arch Cup

ST. LOUIS – The 21st ranked University of Missouri-St. Louis men's golf team reclaimed the Arch Cup winning the event by 12 shots over runner-up Drury and finished with a 36-hole score of 562 (280-282) on Tuesday at Gateway National Golf Links in Madison, Ill.

Junior Dani Solavera took home individual medalist honors finishing with a score of 136 (70-66) winning by two strokes over Drury's Ellton Bostrom. Joining Solavera on the All-Tournament team were junior Benjamin Berger and sophomore Logan Mayo who each finished in a tie for fourth with a score of 140. Berger shot back-to-back rounds of 70 while Mayo shot a 68 in the morning round and a 72 in the afternoon session.

Seniors Andy Hennen and Leo Baudry finished in ties for 13th and 19th respectively. Hennen had a score of 146 (72-74) while Baudry turned in rounds of 74 and 74 to finish with a score of 148. Sophomore Campbell Cox, competing as an individual, shot a 149 (74-75) to come in a tie for 24th. Rounding it out for the Tritons were junior Ludvig Granlund and freshman Nate Warren. Granlund finished in a tie for 33rd with a score of 152 (74-78) while Warren was tied for 49th at 158 (84-74).

The team score of 562 is fifth best for 36 holes in school history while Solavera's final score of 136 is tied for the fourth lowest score in school history.

UMSL returns to the links on Monday (Sept. 28) hosting the Midwest Collegiate at Rock Hollow Golf Club in Peru, Ind.
