Tritons Jump to Ninth in Latest IWSOC Top 25 Poll

St. Louis – The University of Missouri-St. Louis returned to the top 10 in the latest Intercollegiate Women's Soccer Organization for Coaches (IWSOC) Top 25 poll that was released on Tuesday afternoon. The Tritons had the biggest rise in the poll climbing 13 spots from last week.

The Poll is voted on by a national panel of Division II women's soccer coaches, with rankings released weekly throughout the season.

Dallas Baptist (13-0-1) held at No. 1 for a second straight week. Florida Tech (10-0-5) held at No. 2, Minnesota State-Mankato (13-1-1) held at No. 3, and Kutztown (12-1-2) held at No. 4. Franklin Pierce (11-2-0) climbed one spot to round out the top five at No. 5, replacing Grand Valley State, which dropped out of the rankings entirely this week.

Concordia Irvine (8-1-4) also surged, rising 11 spots to No. 13. Cal Poly Pomona (8-1-6) suffered the week's steepest fall, dropping eight spots to No. 21, while Catawba (10-2-2), Texas Woman's (13-1-2) and Washburn (12-1-2) each fell five spots. Cedarville (11-1-3) entered the Top 25 at No. 17 after receiving votes a week ago.

UMSL returns to the pitch on Wednesday (Oct. 21) as it hosts crosstown rival Maryville in its regular season home finale at 5 p.m. on Don Dallas Field.
