Lemont, Ill. – University of Missouri-St. Louis senior men's golfer
Ludvig Granlund won the Flyers Fall Intercollegiate with a total score of 214 (69-74-71) and the Tritons won the team title with a total team score of 875 (289-295-291) on Dubsdread Course at Cog Hill Golf and Country Club in Lemont, Ill., on Tuesday.
Granlund clinched the individual title making birdie on his last hole and finished four shots ahead of teammate
Logan Mayo and Quincy's Colby Robertson and Indian Hills Community College's Evan Monaghan. Mayo finished with a final score of 218 (72-73-73).
Benjamin Berger and
Campbell Cox, competing as an individual, were tied for ninth with a score of 224. Berger carded rounds of 75-73-76 while Cox finished with rounds of 77-74-73.
Dani Solavera and
Trigg Lindahl finished tied for 15th at 227. Solavera turned in rounds of 73-75-79 while Lindahl carded rounds of 80-76-71.
Granlund and Mayo were named to the All-Tournament team.
UMSL is back in action next Monday (Oct. 12) – Tuesday (Oct. 13) competing at the Doc Spragg Invitational hosted by the University of Findlay at the Findlay Country Club in Findlay, Ohio.
