LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis volleyball team has been honored with the 2025-26 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award.
UMSL earns the honor for the 16th time since the award originated in 1992-93 and have been recognized for the 12th straight year under head coach
Ryan Young who just completed his 15th season.
The Tritons finished the academic year with a 3.82 cumulative grade point average and earned the additional distinction of being named to the Team Academic Honor Roll which celebrates programs in the top 20% of GPAs for their division.
On the court, UMSL finished the 2025 season with a 26-5 record, won the GLVC regular season and tournament titles and hosted the Midwest Regional for the second time in three years. The Tritons had three players named All-American with
Caitlin Bishop and
Alayna Santel earning first team Accolades while
Skylar Weaver was a third team selection.
