Romeoville, Ill. —The University of Missouri-St. Louis women's soccer team extended its unbeaten streak to seven with a 2-1 win over Lewis on Wednesday night at Lewis Stadium in Romeoville, Ill. The Tritons improve to 5-1-2, 4-0-1 GLVC while the Flyers are 3-5-1, 2-3-1 GLVC.
Olivia Lautz opened the scoring in the 14
th minute.
Josie Maddox took space on the wing and sent in a cross that Lautz headed past the keeper to make it 1-0. The goal was Lautz's second in as many games.
In the 56
th minute,
Madi Riege scored what would be the game winning goal. A loose ball knocked into a Lewis player in the box and fell to Riege who knocked it past the keeper to make it 2-0. It was Riege's first career goal.
Lewis scored one in the 62
nd minute.
Allysa Wolf made the initial save but the loose ball fell to Anna Linsler who tapped it in to make it 2-1.
Wolf had four saves in the contest while Maddox led the Tritons with two shots, both on goal.
