Peru, Ind. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis men's golf team finished third out of 18 teams with a total team score of 866 (288-291-287) at the Midwest Collegiate at Rock Hollow Golf Club in Peru, Ind., on Tuesday afternoon.
Trigg Lindahl led the way for the Tritons posting a 54-hole total score of 214 (71-73-70) to finish in a tie for fourth with Illinois Springfield's Brooks Culver. Lindahl was named to the All-Tournament team for his performance.
Benjamin Berger finished in a tie for eighth place with an even par score of 216 (72-73-71),
Logan Mayo and
Dani Solavera each posted scores of 221 with Mayo shooting rounds of 77-72-72 while Solavera shot rounds of 70-77-74.
Campbell Cox finished with a score of 224 (75-73-76).
UMSL had a second team compete in the event that finished with a score of 901 (306-297-294) to place 13th in the event.
Ludvig Granlund led the second team with a score of 217 (73-72-72) to finish 12th overall.
Austin Rinkenberger and
Nate Warren each shot a 226 with Rinkenberger turning in rounds of 74-79-73 while Warren shot 78-75-73.
Scott Antoun finished with a score of 232 (81-73-78).
Grand Valley State's Nicolas Vincent was the individual medalist defeating Findlay's Cahle Roth on the second playoff hole. The Oilers won the team title by one stroke over the Lakers finishing with a score of 862 (284-289-289).
