Before UMSL: Played two seasons at Southwestern Illinois College... earned all-Region 24 honors as a sophomore after batting .345 with 15 doubles, seven home runs and 40 RBIs... helped team to a 34-18 record, including a third place conference finish... batted .328 as a freshman, recording 28 RBIs and five home runs... helped team to a 45-16 record, including the Region 24 conference championship... team came up one game shy of a JUCO World Series berth.

High School: Prepped at O'Fallon Township... batted .423 as a senior, recording 23 RBIs and six home runs... earned honorable mention all-area honors as a senior... team posted a 30-7 record and was Southwestern Conference and Illinois Class 4A Regional champions.
