2015-16 (junior): Posted a scoring average of 76.56... played 16 rounds in seven tournaments... began season with a tie for fifth place finish at the Arch Cup, shooting a season-best 149 (74-75)... tied for 10th place at hte UIS Island Getaway while competing as an individual, shooting a 150 (75-75) ... named an Academic All-GLVC selection.
Before UMSL: Spent two seasons at NAIA member Bethany College, where he earned Second Team All-American honors last season after leading the Swedes at the NAIA Golf Championships... finished the NAIA Golf Championships with a three-under-par in a tie for sixth place, two shots from a tie for fourth place and just three shots from a top three finish... named to the NAIA All-Tournament team and his finish at nationals was the highest in program history... led Bethany and ranked 13th in NAIA with a scoring average of 72.52 and earned medalist honors four times... all-conference and all-region honoree.
High School: Prepped at Villa Rica.
Personal: Born March 31... son of Jose Acevedo and Norma Quintanilla... majoring in international business.
