Joana Yanez enters her second season as an assistant coach for the women's golf team.

In her first season on staff, Yanez helped direct the 2015-16 team to three team victories and the program's seventh straight NCAA Regional Tournament bid.

The former Triton played for former head coach James Earle during the 2014-15 season, posting a scoring average of 78.2. UMSL won four tournaments that year, while also finishing second in the GLVC Championships and earning a bid to the NCAA Regional Tournament. Janez was the top team finisher at Regionals, tying for 11th.
