Makenzie Torres joinsed Troy Halterman's staff as a graduate assistant coach in the fall of 2019 following a standout career at region rival Findlay.
A two-time GMAC Golfer of the Year, Torres capped her senior season with Second Team All-America honors.
Torres led the Oilers to a tie for fifth at the 2019 NCAA Division II National Championship, their highest finish in program history. Torres finished 10th individually at the event with a 54-hole score of 227 (77-74-76) and helped propel the Oilers into match play.
A three-time All-East Region selection, Torres also won two conference championships during her tenure with the program, winning the 2017 GLIAC title and the 2018 G-MAC championship. She finished as the runner-up in the G-MAC Tournament in 2019.
Torres finished her career with a scoring average of 76.39, the lowest in school history, and also holds the school mark for low 36 hole score (139).
