ST. LOUIS, MO. – Senior Thomas Mihalczo scored his first goal of the season with 1:23 to play in overtime to lift the University of Missouri-St. Louis men's soccer team to a 1-0 victory over No. 5 ranked Rockhurst Friday night in Great Lakes Valley Conference action.

Mihaclzo headed the ball into the net off a pass from senior Ajdin Dedic for the game-winner as UMSL improves to 4-2 overall, including 3-1 in GLVC.

Rockhurst, which slips to 5-1-1 overall and 4-1 in the GLVC, out-shot the Tritons, 15-8, including 8-3 in shots on goal. Tritons keeper Patrick Ream recorded eight saves in the win.

Mihaclzo and senior Jordan Bruce each had two shots for UMSL.

The win for the Tritons marks the second straight year UMSL defeated a top-10 team as UMSL handed then No. 7 ranked Missouri S&T a 4-0 loss.

The Tritons return to action Sunday, hosting William Jewell at 2:30 p.m.
