ST. LOUIS, MO. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis men's soccer team lost a 2-1 overtime decision to visiting Missouri S&T on Sunday afternoon in Great Lakes Valley Conference action.
The Miners' Ryan Lawhead headed in the ball 5:44 into the overtime period off a corner kick for the game-winner.
With the loss, UMSL slips to 4-6 overall, including 3-5 in the GLVC, while Missouri S&T improves to 5-4-1 and 4-3-1 in the league.
Missouri S&T controlled the first half, outshooting the Tritons, 12-2, and took a 1-0 lead in the 16
th minute with a little help from the gusty winds.

Matt Burrus got it to bounce off the crossbar and dropped into the net.
Missouri S&T outshot the Tritons, 18-10, with both teams landing five shots on goal. Collico finished with five attempts for UMSL, placing one on target.

Nick Lenkman suffered his first loss in goal this season in three starts and recorded three saves.
UMSL returns to action on Friday, traveling to William Jewell in a 7:30 p.m. GLVC contest.
