ST. LOUIS, MO. – No. 13 ranked and visiting Wisconsin-Parkside posted a 4-0 win over the University of Missouri-St. Louis women's soccer team on Sunday afternoon.
The Rangers, which scored three goals in the second half, posted their 10
th shutout of the year to improve to 10-0-2, including a GLVC-best 8-0-2 in league play. UMSL, which suffered its sixth straight loss, dips to 5-7 overall, including 3-7 in the GLVC.
UW-Parkside outshot UMSL, 15-9, and owned a 10-3 edge in shots on goal. Juniors
Kali Thomas and
Cassie McFadden each had three shots for the Tritons with one landing on goal.
The Rangers' leading scorer Karley Mecko accounted for two UW-Parkside goals, while Niekie Pellens scored once and assisted on both of Mecko's goals.
UMSL travels to Indianapolis on Friday in the start of a three-game road trip to close out the road portion of the regular season. Start time at UIndy is 5 p.m. (EST).
