INDIANAPOLIS, IND. – After 110 minutes of play, the University of Missouri-St. Louis and host Indianapolis finished in a 1-1 double overtime tie on Friday night in Great Lakes Valley Conference action.
Junior
Jen Eaton scored in the 38
th minute, ending a six-game scoring drought for the Tritons, while UIndy connected for the equalizer in the 69
th minute.
Eaton dribbled the ball passed the goalie and shot the ball into the net for the tally. It was her third score of the year.
UMSL moves to 5-7-1 overall, playing in its first overtime contest of the year, including 3-7-1 in the GLVC, while Indianapolis is now 3-7-4 and 2-5-4 in league play.
Both teams recorded 18 shots with UMSL holding an 8-7 edge in shots on goal. Eaton placed all three of her attempts on target, while junior
Cassie McFadden fired seven shots, landing three on goal.
