ST. LOUIS, MO. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis baseball team opened up the home portion of its schedule on Friday with two losses to Indianapolis in Great Lakes Valley Conference action.
The Tritons rallied from a 2-0 deficit in the opener, but came up short in the 3-2 11-inning contest. UMSL (2-5, 0-2 GLVC) then built a 2-0 lead in the nightcap only to see the Greyhounds (6-8, 2-0 GLVC) score three unanswered for the win.
The four-game series concludes tomorrow with a doubleheader slated for a 12 p.m. first pitch.
GAME 1: Indianapolis 3, UMSL 2 (11 innings)
The Tritons scored two unearned runs in the seventh inning with two outs to tie the game. Senior

Sean McCracken then delivered the game-winning homerun to lead off the 11
th inning.

GAME 2: Indianapolis 3, UMSL 2 (7 innings)

Tyler Bunge recorded a two-run double in the first inning to help the Tritons to the early lead before UIndy knotted the score in the third inning. The Greyhounds then took advantage of a lead off hit by pitch in the seventh inning to help score the winning run.
Both team registered six hits, while junior
Dan Droege was credited with the loss in relief. Senior
Jonathan Rosario allowed two runs on four hits in six innings, while striking out four.
