ST. LOUIS, MO. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis baseball team scored seven runs over two innings en route to a 7-1 victory in the second game of a doubleheader against Wisconsin-Parkside on Sunday afternoon in Great Lakes Valley Conference action. The visiting Rangers won the opener, 6-0.
The Tritons won the series, taking three of four over the weekend, and improve to 6-8 overall, including 4-4 in the GLVC. UW-Parkside slips to 4-11 and 2-6 in the league.
UMSL returns to action next weekend, hosting Rockhurst in a four-game series on Saturday and Sunday. Doubleheaders each day are slated for 12 p.m. starts.
UW-Parkside 6, UMSL 0 (7 innings)
The Tritons were limited to just three hits in the loss, while the Rangers recorded seven.
UW-Parkside took a 1-0 lead in the second inning on a wild pitch before breaking the game open with a four-run third inning.
Junior
Zach Sedlacek took the loss, allowing four runs on two hits, while issuing five walks.
UMSL 7, UW-Parkside 1 (9 innings)
UMSL erased a 1-0 deficit in the seventh inning, plating two runs, including one on a wild pitch and one on an RBI single from pinch hitter

Joe Wieczkowski also drove in a run with an RBI groundout.
The Tritons tallied eight hits in the win, two each from Richmond and Budka.

Alan Frank picked up his first collegiate win on the mound, tossing four and one-thirds of an inning in relief. He scattered just one hit, while striking out four.
