WINTER HAVEN, FLA. - The University of Missouri-St. Louis baseball team took the field for the first time this season on Friday at the Russmatt Central Florida Invitational, but had its debut spoiled by Ashland as the Eagles took the doubleheader, winning 4-1 and 5-0.
UMSL tallied six hits in the opener, including a double and an RBI single from senior
Tyler Bunge. The Tritons were limited to just a single by junior
Daniel Seddon in the nightcap as Ashland's Vince Frate pitched five perfect innings.
UMSL returns to the field tomorrow against Wayne State (Mich.).
