UMSL, Illinois Springfield Play to 0-0 Draw in GLVC Women’s Soccer

SPRINGFIELD, ILL. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis women's soccer team outshot host Illinois Springfield, 15-8, and did not allow a shot on goal, but couldn't find the back of the net as the Tritons were forced to settle with a scoreless draw on Sunday afternoon in Great Lakes Valley Conference action.
 
UMSL, closing out a five-game roadtrip with the game, moves to 10-1-3 overall, including 8-1-3 in the GLVC, while UIS is now 5-8-2 and 4-6-2 in the league. Despite the tie, the Tritons moved into a tie for second place in the conference standings with Truman State, which lost a 1-0 overtime decision to GLVC leader Bellarmine. UMSL will host No. 13 ranked Bellarmine on Friday at 5 p.m.
 
The Tritons were shutout for just the second time this season, while posting their eighth shutout. UMSL had an eight-game win streak snapped, but moved its unbeaten streak to 11 games.
 
Senior Megan Ohm played all 110 in goal and was credited with her second straight shutout.
 
Senior Kali Thomas placed both of her shots on goal, while freshman McKayla Harder took a team-high three shots. 10 different players took at least one shot, while the Tritons put five shots on goal.
