OAKLAND CITY, IND. – Junior
Miriam Taylor scored her team's first three goals to lead the University of Missouri-St. Louis women's soccer team to a 6-0 win at Oakland City on Tuesday afternoon in nonconference play.
The win was the fifth straight for the Tritons, who improve to 7-1-2 overall. Oakland City falls to 3-8.
Taylor scored her three goals in a span of 20:28 with the first coming just 3:25 into the game. She now has a team-leading 10 goals on the year, the most by a single player since 2011 when Kaylee Neutzling recorded 10.

Kayla Delgado, who then got in the scoring column with a goal of her own off a shot from 10 yards out off a cross from senior
Katie Rapisardo to give UMSL a 4-0 halftime lead.

The Tritons held a 26-5 advantage in shots, including a 15-3 edge in shots on goal. Taylor took five shots, placing four on target, while Delgado also had five shots with two on goal.

McKenzie DeRouen played 37:29 in goal, making two save. Junior
Cambree Kirchner saw her first action of the year in between the posts, playing 12:30 to help preserve the shutout.
UMSL returns to GLVC play this weekend, traveling to William Jewell and Rockhurst on Friday and Sunday, respectively.
