LIBERTY, MO. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis women's soccer team earned its sixth straight win on Friday afternoon with a 5-0 Great Lakes Valley Conference victory at William Jewell.
The shutout was also the sixth of the year for the Tritons, who allowed just three Cardinals shots, all of which came in the first half.
UMSL improves to 8-1-2 overall, including 6-1-2 in the GLVC, while William Jewell slips to 4-6-2 and 2-6-1 in the league.
Senior
Kali Thomas helped the Tritons to its first two goals, both in the first half. She assisted on junior
Kayla Delgado's goal in the 39
th minute and then netted her fourth goal of the year with just eight seconds remaining in the opening stanza with the assist to senior
Cassie McFadden.
The Tritons added three more goals in the final 45 minutes, including two from freshman
McKayla Harder. Junior

Miriam Taylor, while Harder scored in the 82

th minutes with assists from senior

Brooke Blasingame, respectively.
UMSL has now tallied four or more goals in five straight games, outscoring its opponents, 24-1, during that span.
The Tritons took 17 shots against William Jewell, landing 11 on goal. Harder placed all four of her goals on target, while Delgado also fired four shots with two landing on goal.
Senior
Megan Ohm played 83:23 in goal, making one save, while freshman
McKenzie DeRouen preserved the shutout in the final 6:37.
UMSL continues its current five-game road swing Sunday at Rockhurst.
