LIBERTY, MO. – Senior
Jon Huelsman headed in the game-winner in the first overtime to give the University of Missouri-St. Louis men's soccer team a 2-1 victory at William Jewell on Friday afternoon in Great Lakes Valley Conference action.
All three goals came in the final 11 minutes of the contest.
Senior
Tyler Collico found the back of the net in the 84
th minute, but the host Cardinals countered with just 1:22 to play in regulation to force the extra time. Huelsman scored at the 94:20 mark.
UMSL improves to 5-4-2 overall, including 4-3-2 in the GLVC, while William Jewell slips to 2-8-2, 1-6-1 in the league.
The Tritons outshot the Cardinals, 17-6, scoring on their final two shots of the game. Huelsman took four shots, while Collico and junior
DJ Bednar each took three.

Clay Stocker was credited with the assist on Huelsman's goal.

Jack Filla played all 94:20 in goal, making two saves.
UMSL is back in action on Sunday, traveling to No. 22 Rockhurst.
