ST. CHARLES, MO. – Sophomore
Angie Quiroga won the 100-yard backstroke on Saturday at the Lindenwood Invitational to highlight action for the University of Missouri-St. Louis women's swimming team.
Quiroga also posted a runner-up finish in the 50-yard freestyle, while freshman
Amber Visser was second in the 100-yard butterfly, bettering her own school record in 1:00.89.
The Tritons defeated Maryville (148-13), but lost to Lindenwood-Belleville (129-87) and Lindenwood (244-34).
UMSL is in Rolla, Mo., Friday and Saturday to compete against Missouri S&T and Ouchita Baptist.
