TUCSON, ARIZ. – The No. 13 ranked University of Missouri-St. Louis softball team opened the 2015 campaign on Friday with a pair of wins in the NFCA Division II Lead Off Classic.
The Tritons rallied from a 5-2 deficit to defeat Texas Women's, 6-5, before shutting out Regis, 4-0. UMSL is back on the field tomorrow at 1 p.m. against Fort Lewis.

Jennah Perryman drove in the winning run with a squeeze play in the bottom of the seventh inning. Perryman also had a solo homerun in the fifth inning that pulled UMSL within 5-4, while senior
Brianna Butler knotted the score at 5-5 with a one out homerun in the bottom of the seventh. It was the 33
rd career homerun for Butler, the program's career leader in that category.
