ST. LOUIS, MO. – Junior
Hannah Perryman struck out all 15 batters she faced en route to recording her second career perfect game and fifth career no-hitter as the No. 4 ranked University of Missouri-St. Louis softball team posted an 8-0 five inning victory over Lake Superior State in game one of a doubleheader. The Tritons then took the nightcap, 10-2, in six innings.
UMSL improves to 15-1 overall, moving its win streak to 12 games, while Lake Superior State slips to 6-6.
The Tritons tallied 23 hits in the two games, including four homeruns and four doubles, while the Lakers recorded just two hits. Senior
Katie Wood went 4-for-6 at the plate to lead the offense, while 12 of the 15 UMSL players that stepped to the plate recorded at least one hit. Freshman
Jennah Perryman tallied two homeruns – both in the nightcap – and finished with five RBIs.
UMSL registered 10 hits in the game-one victory, including two each from Wood and fellow senior
Jena Boudreau, while senior
Katie Rutledge tallied three RBIs.

Kaitlin Fraser ended the game with a walk off homerun over the centerfield fence.
UMSL then recorded 13 hits in the nightcap, including J. Perryman's two long balls. Her first was a two-run shot in the third inning, while her second was a walk off three-run blast in the sixth with two outs.

Brianna Butler added two hits, including a solo home run to lead off the third inning, while Wood tallied two hits and scored two runs.

Brittni Chapman improved to 8-0 in the circle, allowing one hit and one unearned run in four innings of work, while sophomore
Kelsey Bailey tossed two innings, allowing one hit and one unearned run.
UMSL will open Great Lakes Valley Conference play this weekend, hosting Illinois Springfield on Saturday and McKendree on Sunday.
