KANSAS CITY, MO. – The No. 3 ranked University of Missouri-St. Louis softball team picked up two Great Lakes Valley Conference road victories at Rockhurst on Saturday.
The Tritons won the opener in five innings, 8-0, before holding on for a 3-2 win in the nightcap. UMSL improves to 23-3 with the wins, including 8-2 in the GLVC, while Rockhurst slips to 13-11 and 4-6 in the league.
Senior
Katie Rutledge went a combined 4-for-5 at the plate with two doubles and two RBIs, while sophomore
Alex Stupek also had a four-hit, two-RBI day.
The Tritons are at William Jewell tomorrow in a 12 p.m. GLVC doubleheader.

Hannah Perryman tossed the complete game three-hit shutout.
Stupek was 3-for-3 at the plate with two RBIs and a run scored. It was her team-leading 13
th multi-hit game of the season. Rutledge added two hits, two RBIs and two runs scored, while sophomore
Sara Kern also finished with two hits and two runs.
The Tritons plated five runs on five hits in the second inning, which included a two-run double from Rutledge and then added three runs, all with two outs, in the third inning, including a two-run single from Stupek.
Perryman struck out eight, including her 900
th career strikeout, while recording her sixth shutout to improve to 11-2.
Game 2: UMSL 3, Rockhurst 2A solo homerun from senior
Katie Wood and a two-run homer from senior
Madison Zbaraschuk in the fifth inning helped the Tritons to the sweep.
Rockhurst out-hit UMSL, 10-7, but left eight runners on base, including the tying run in the seventh. The Hawks got on the board with an unearned run in the bottom of the fifth and crossed the plate again in the seventh after leading off with a triple and an RBI single.
Rutledge tallied two of UMSL's seven hits, including a double to extend her games on base streak to eight.
Senior
Brittni Chapman picked up the complete game victory, improving to 12-1 in the circle.
