ROLLA, MO. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis baseball team suffered 6-4 and 11-1 losses at Missouri S&T on Monday to close out a four-game Great Lakes Valley Conference series.
The Tritons slip to 11-6 overall and 6-6 in the GLVC, while Missouri S&T improves to 13-10 and 8-4 in the league.
UMSL returns to the field this Friday and Saturday, hosting Drury in four-game league series. First pitch for Friday's doubleheader is set for 12 p.m.

JJ Kinnevan for the early 1-0 lead, but Missouri S&T answered with a single run in the second inning before its five-run third on five hits.
UMSL staged a rally in the fifth, scoring three runs on two outs, for the final score. With two outs, UMSL reeled off three straight singles, including one by Clark to score Kinnevan. A wild pitch then sent junior
Justin Busekrus home before sophomore
Jake Beckwith's single to right center allowed Clark to cross home plate.
Clark finished the contest with two hits, two RBI and a run scored, while Kinnevan added two hits and two runs. Busekrus and Beckwith each added a pair of hits.

Kurt McGuire took the loss in the complete game effort, allowing all six runs on eight hits. He walked just two and struck out a career-best nine.
GAME 2: Missouri S&T 11, UMSL 1The Miners used 10 hits to score 11 runs and jumped out to a 5-0 lead, including scoring four in the first inning, before the Tritons got on the board with a Clark RBI single in the fourth.
Clark and Busekrus had two hits each as UMSL was limited to just five hits.

Luke Hayes went two innings in the loss, allowing five runs on three hits, while walking two and striking out three. The UMSL pitching staff issued a combined seven walks and put four others on via hit-by-pitch.
