QUINCY, ILL. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis men's soccer team fell short in its Great Lakes Valley Conference opener on Friday night, with a 2-1 loss at No. 20 ranked Quincy.
The Tritons slip to 1-2 overall, while Quincy improves to 2-1. UMSL will host Truman State on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in its home opener.
The Hawks scored twice in a span of one minute 42 seconds in the first half with both shots coming from the left wing and sailing into the deep right corner of the net.

Quincy outshot the Tritons, 12-6, including 7-2 in the second half, and held a 7-4 advantage in shots on goal.
