ST. LOUIS, MO. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis women's soccer team lost a 1-0 decision to visiting Truman State on Sunday afternoon in Great Lakes Valley Conference play as the Bulldogs spoiled the Tritons' home opener.
UMSL outshot its guest, 16-6, but saw the Bulldogs score the game's lone goal in the 51
st minute when Megan Whitehead shot from the far right wing and put the ball into the left corner of the net off the free kick.
The Tritons slip to 1-1-1 overall, including 0-1-1 in the GLVC, while Truman State improves to 2-1-1 overall and 1-0-1 in league play.

Kayla Delgado came off the bench to attempt three shots, placing one on goal, while three other players had two shots for the Tritons, including senior
Sidney Allen, who placed one on goal, and sophomore
Baylee Williams and freshman
McKayla Harder. Of UMSL's 16 shots, six were on goal.
Senior keeper
Megan Ohm played all 90 minutes in goal, recording three saves.
UMSL continues its current three-game homestand on Friday, hosting Saint Joseph's at 5 p.m.
