KENOSHA, WIS. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis men's soccer team finished in a 2-2 double overtime tie at Wisconsin-Parkside on Friday afternoon in a Great Lakes Valley Conference contest.

The Tritons saw a 2-1 lead erased on a Flyers goal with seven minutes 15 seconds to play in regulation that helped force the extra periods.

UMSL moves to 3-3-1 overall, including 2-2-1 in the GLVC, while UW-Parkside is also 3-3-1 overall and 3-1-1 in the league.

The Rangers got on the board first, scoring off a free kick in the 12th minute, while the Tritons tied it at 1-1 in the 32nd minute, also off a free kick. Junior Nick Cherry found the back of the net for the first time this season with a header from senior Jon Huelsman's free kick.

Senior Tyler Collico gave UMSL a 2-1 advantage in the 74th minute with his second goal of the season. Sophomore Nick Werner had the ball at the top of the box and passed it ahead to a cutting Collico on the left side, who put it past Rangers keeper Remi Bibal.

UW-Parkside then scored the equalizer in the 83rd minute off another free kick.

Both teams finished with 18 shots, including five on goal. Junior DJ Bednar took five shots, while Collico placed two on goal. Junior Jack Filla played all 110 in goal and made three saves.
