ROMEOVILLE, ILL. – Senior
Jon Huelsman scored both goals in a span of 58 seconds as the University of Missouri-St. Louis men's soccer team picked up a 2-0 win at Lewis on Sunday afternoon in Great Lakes Valley Conference action.
Both goals came in the first half and included a 20-yard shot that beat the keeper to the far right post at the 39:56 mark and a penalty kick at the 40:54 mark.
UMSL improves to 4-3-1 overall, including 3-2-1 in the GLVC, while Lewis dips to 0-7-1 and 0-5-1 in the league.
UMSL outshot the Flyers, 13-8, while junior keeper
Jack Filla made two saves, playing all 90 minutes in goal to record his fourth shutout of the year.
The Tritons return home on Friday, hosting Drury at 7:30 p.m.
