LEBANON, ILL. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis volleyball team closed out a seven-match road swing on Saturday with a 25-23, 25-21, 25-20 loss at McKendree in Great Lakes Valley Conference play.
UMSL falls to 13-10 overall, including 7-6 in the GLVC, while the Bearcats are now 16-9, 11-2 in the league.
Junior
Madyson Abeyta (16 assists, 11 digs) and sophomore
Kayla Shane (11 assists, 11 digs) each had a double-double, while senior
Lexi Rogers tied for match-high in kills with 10 and added six blocks.
The Tritons owned an 8-4 advantage in blocks, but hit just .088 in the contest, while McKendree hit at a .138 clip.
Freshman
Morgan Childers added nine kills, while junior
Danielle Waedekin recorded 11 digs.
UMSL returns to action Tuesday, hosting Lindenwood in non-conference play at 7 p.m. in the start of a four-game homestand.
