UMSL Volleyball Sweeps Past Quincy

ST. LOUIS, MO. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis volleyball team served up a season-high 10 aces en route to a 25-19, 26-24, 25-12 win over Quincy on Friday night in Great Lakes Valley Conference action.
UMSL's serving helped limit the Hawks to .114 hitting, while the Tritons hit .221 in picking up their fourth straight win. UMSL improves to 11-4 overall, including 6-2 in the GLVC, while Quincy drops its third straight, falling to 9-8 and 4-4 in the league.

Match Highlights
-UMSL recorded 16 kills in the first-set victory, including four from senior
Gaylnn Jones. UMSL jumped out to a 12-5 lead, but saw Quincy pull within 19-17. However, the Tritons scored their final four points on a kill, including three straight to end the set.
-UMSL ended the second set on a 5-1 run to erase a 23-21 Quincy lead.
-The Tritons recorded five of their aces in the third set, including two each from Jones and senior
Lexi Rogers. UMSL also hit .300, while Quincy hit just .033.

Kylie Rudsinski also had seven each. Jones added three aces and 11 digs.
