PEORIA, ILL. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis women's basketball team played NCAA Division I Bradley to an even 28-28 score in the second half, but lost a 62-45 decision to the Braves on Saturday afternoon in its only preseason exhibition contest.
UMSL now turns its attention to the regular season, where it will tip off its 43rd season of intercollegiate play next Friday and Saturday at the Pops Duncan Classic, hosted by Trevecca Nazarene, in Nasvhille, Tenn. The Tritons will meet the host school on Friday before facing Kentucky Wesleyan on Saturday.

Robneisha Lee scored 12 points to lead UMSL offensively and added seven rebounds and two steals, while junior
Shelby Dahl followed with nine points, connecting on 3-of-4 shots from the floor.
UMSL was limited to 26.3 percent shooting from the field in the contest, but connected at a 31 percent clip in the second half, while Bradley shot 39 percent after going 46.7 percent in the first half. The Braves also held a 49-35 rebounding advantage.
Bradley owned a 34-17 lead at the half after posting a 16-6 lead at the end of the first quarter.
