CLERMONT, FLA. – The No. 5 ranked University of Missouri-St. Louis softball team recorded four home runs on Monday morning as the Tritons posted their ninth shutout of the year in a 7-0 win over Saint Anselm at the NTC Spring Games.
The Tritons finished with 12 hits, which also included three doubles. Sophomore
Jennah Perryman tallied two hits, including a double and a home run, while senior
Erin Walker was 2-for-3 at the plate with a double. Freshman
Reagan Osborn added two hits, while juniors
Alex Stupek and
Sara Kern each knocked out two-run homers.
Three of UMSL's homers came back-to-back-to-back in the seventh inning from Kern, Perryman and junior
Tynai' Burrow, who recorded her first hit as a Triton.
Senior
Hannah Perryman tossed the complete game two-hit shutout, striking out 13.
UMSL returns to the field tomorrow for two games, facing Notre Dame College at 9 a.m. and Wheeling Jesuit at 1 p.m.
