ST. LOUIS, MO. – Junior
Ryan Logan picked the most opportune time to get career home run number one, knocking the ball over the left field fence in the bottom of the eighth to help the No. 6 ranked University of Missouri-St. Louis softball team complete the sweep of visiting Rockhurst with a 2-1 victory. The Tritons took the opener, 4-1, in the Great Lakes Valley Conference twinbill.
UMSL improves to 33-2 overall, including 11-1 in GLVC play with the wins, while Rockhurst slips to 10-20 and 3-9 in the league.
The Tritons continue their current eight-game homestand Tuesday, hosting Maryville in a pair of GLVC contests beginning at 3 p.m.

Reagan Osborn. Walker finished with two hits and one RBI and also drew a walk, while Osborn added two hits and three RBIs.
Walker led the game off with a walk, while Osborn followed with her second home run of the year for the 2-0 advantage, while in the second inning, each player recorded an RBI single for the 4-0 lead.
Rockhurst' Hannah Pyle gave the Hawks their lone run with a solo home run in the fourth inning.
Senior
Hannah Perryman tossed the complete game two-hitter, striking out eight and walking one.
UMSL tallied five hits and drew six walks. Junior
Alex Stupek added a pair of stolen bases.
GAME 2: UMSL 2, Rockhurst 1 (8 inn.)The Tritons were limited to four hits, but left 10 runners on base after being issued five walks and two hit by pitches – both by Osborn. UMSL had runners at second and third in both the fifth and sixth innings but couldn't push a run across as the game went to an extra inning.
A double steal led to UMSL's first run with Walker scampering home in the first inning, while Rockhurst scored the equalizer in the third inning during a two-hit frame.
Perryman went the distance again, striking out 12 without issuing a walk and scattered five hits. She improves to 28-1 in the circle, picking up her 19
th straight victory.
Walker had one of the team's four hits, extending her current hitting streak to seven games.
