Justin Busekrus recorded two hits and two RBIs to help lead the University of Missouri-St. Louis baseball team to an 8-1 nonconference victory over fellow GLVC foe Southern Indiana on Tuesday afternoon in the Tritons' official home opener.
UMSL outhit the Screaming Eagles, 9-7, in the win to improve to 19-7 overall. Southern Indiana slips to 16-11.

Jose Ortiz's two-run single. Ortiz, who also drew a third inning walk, extended his on base streak to 12 games.

UMSL returns to the field this weekend to host Quincy in a key four-game GLVC series with doubleheaders slated for Saturday and Sunday.
