No. 8 Knights Score Twice Late to Hand Tritons a 2-1 OT Loss

LOUISVILLE, KY. – No. 8 ranked Bellarmine scored twice in the final five minutes and 24 seconds of play to rally back for a 2-1 overtime win over the visiting University of Missouri-St. Louis women's soccer team on Sunday afternoon in Great Lakes Valley Conference action.
 
The Knights forced extra time on an equalizer with 3:27 remaining in regulation on a shot from 18 yards out that sailed over the head of Tritons keeper Emily Rish and netted the game-winner 1:57 into overtime off a corner kick.
 
UMSL slips to 1-1 overall and in the GLVC, while Bellarmine remains unbeaten at 4-0 and 2-0 in the league.
 
The Tritons took an early lead in the 24th minute on a header from junior Emily Mosier off senior Taylor Tosovsky's corner kick.
 
The host Knights owned a 9-6 advantage in shots, including a 5-1 edge in shots on goal. Rish made three saves, while sophomore Lauren Lottmann registered two shots.
 
UMSL returns to the field Friday to host Illinois Springfield in its home opener at 5 p.m.
