ST. LOUIS, MO. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis volleyball team used a season-high 16 blocks to win its sixth straight match on Saturday, defeating Saint Joseph's, 3-1, in GLVC play. The Tritons won by set scores of 25-14, 25-10, 23-25, 25-17.
UMSL improves to 7-2 overall, including 2-0 in the GLVC, while Saint Joseph's dips to 2-8 and 0-2 in the league.
Match Highlights
-UMSL ended the first set by outscoring Saint Joseph's 8-1. Senior
Lexi Rogers had two of her three set kills during that stretch.
-The Tritons held the Pumas to -.067 hitting in set two with a 5-0 blocking advantage, including four blocks from freshman
Amanda Vollmer, while junior
Danielle Waedekin collected 13 digs.
-After a combined 16 kills in the first sets, Saint Joseph's tallied 18 alone in the third set to extend the match.
- UMSL put up nine of their 16 blocks in the fourth set with freshman
Kylie Rudsinski and sophomore
Kristen Uradzionek each tallying five.

-Rudsinski finished with eight blocks, while Rogers and freshman
Selena Nolte had five each.
-Rogers recorded 12 kills in 18 attempts with no errors, while Nolte recorded 10 kills.

Madyson Abeyta dished out 26 assists.

Danielle Waedekin finished with a season-best 25 digs and added a pair of service aces.
-UMSL hit .248 to the Pumas' .071.
