SOMERS, WIS. – Wisconsin-Parkside shot 61.8 percent in the second half en route to handing the University of Missouri-St. Louis men's basketball team an 86-59 setback Saturday afternoon in Great Lakes Valley Conference action.
Despite being within four points of the Rangers early in the second half, the home team outscored the Tritons, 53-34, in the final 20 minutes.
UMSL, which suffered its fifth straight setback, dips to 8-9 overall, including 2-5 in the GLVC. Wisconsin-Parkside won its 14
th straight to improve to 14-1 overall, including 6-0 in the league.

Joseph English scored a season-high 14 points, knocking down 7-of-11 field goals, while also recording four rebounds and two assists.
-Eight other players got in the scoring column, including senior
Hunter Reine, who added 10 points.
-UMSL shot 46.4 percent, including 51.7 percent in the second half, while UW-Parkside finished the game shooting 54.2 percent and held a 33-28 rebounding advantage.
-The Rangers were 18-of-20 at the free throw line, while UMSL was 5-of-10.
-The Tritons committed 17 turnovers, leading to a 19-7 scoring advantage in points off turnovers for Parkside.
How it Happened
Wisconsin-Parkside took a 33-25 lead into halftime. The Rangers led by as many as 14 as the Tritons struggled offensively, making just one of 13 field goals at one point. However, UMSL bounced back to make six of its final seven attempts to close the gap at the break.
The Tritons then got within four points twice early in the second half, including at the 18:35 mark as junior
Elijah Watson's lay in made it 35-31. However, the Rangers followed with a 13-5 run.
